Final Blog
I learned a variety of things in Graphic Design I. The class overall helped enhance my pen tool skills and make me think like a graphic designer. I learned how to navigate the two programs better by learning where each tool was located and how it is used. I struggled with getting the vision I had in my head into my artwork. Not being able to draw to well made my designs lack quality. As the class progressed my drawing skill and illustrator skill increased and my artwork started to improve. I started to put more shape into my work rather than pure straight lines. If I could change a previous assignment, I would put more shape into the work. My first few projects seem a bit stiff and need more variety. Overall I thought Graphic Design I was a good class and I expect Graphic Design II to also be a fun enjoyable class.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #7
My company sells hd headsets for gaming and cellphones. It is available for the ps3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
The headsets are also available for almost all cell phones. Along with hd sound it is also very comfortable
and most our wireless. My targeted audience is teenagers and young adults. I'll capture their
attention by mentioning the hd sound, light weight, wireless, and how comfortable they are.
The logo will be on every headset, eventually most gamers and young adults will recognize the logo.
I enjoyed making the face of the guy on the logo. I think he looks unique and I have not seen
another face quite like it. Making the letters were a bit challenging and if I could design the logo again. I would
put work into the letters.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #6
I used the lyrics from the song "Mr. Rager" by KiD CuDi. It talks about a person tired of
seeing people succeed and how they also want to succeed. My image connects to the song
because it has a guy at the top of the mountain, and he is reaching out as if saying "I will succeed."
I think the mountains came out really good, and each are different whether it be by the font or
the darkness of the text. If I were to redo my typography again I would add different colors to it.

I think both logos are successful because they are simple and are advertised all over the world. Both logos
don't give any clue of what they are selling. If a person had never seen the logos they would have no clue
what they are selling. The Nike logo gives off a powerful strong emotion. It's as if the logo was just telling you
to go do you sport by the simplicity of the logo. The McDonald's logo give me a greasy, and good food
after a sport type of feel. It also reminds of the groggy feel, you experience after you eat the food.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #4
I chose this image because I like Pokemon and I thought this typography was well made.
The first thing i noticed was Pikachu's tail is brighter than Pikachu. It makes Pikachu's
tail stand out and gives the image a good effect. Another good effect in my opinion
is the authors choice is making the important things a larger font. It lets the audience
know that those words are important and or crucial to Pokemon.
I also like how everything that makes up Pikachu has to do with Pokemon.
I like the contrast in Pikachu's ears and the background. Pikachu's ears seem to be
a softer shade of black and it breaks off well with the black background.
The artist also did a awesome job with Pikachu's eyes, he added
small detail with Pikachu's eyes that makes Pikachu's eyes stand out. I
really liked this typography it gave me ideas of what I can do to mine.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #3
I didn't really think much of the design when I started. After I started I started to look at all the shapes
that made up the design. I picked that color design because it was the first analogous color scheme I found.
The color scheme makes the audience feel calm and not feel to excited. I was shooting for that because
this type of car is more casual then exciting. I think this piece could be used in a poster showing how
cars were back then.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #2

I think the Nike swish logo symbolizes me as a individual. It describes my personality because I like to stay active by being in sports. Along with that the Nike slogan is "Just do it", I tend to just do stuff because I think if you take a lot of time to think about it you are wasting time which you could be using to do whatever you need to do. Also the Nike logo is plain and simple, I consider myself a bit plain and simple. The Nike logo is shown in different sports and products. In a way it's like me because i'm involved in many things and not just on one thing. The Nike logo is also widely accepted by many people. I get along with mostly everybody I meet. The Nike swoosh logo in general is a great logo and is recognized by many people.

Graphic Design Blog Assignment: Week #1
I really like this image because by all the detail the artist put into it. I would change the color of the
shoe because I don't really like the color of it. The image seems to be a girls shoe by the colors
used in the image and also by some of the designs on the shoe. I like how there is a lot of space
in the image so that the viewer will not get tired with the image. The attention also is in the bottom
right of the image and not in the middle. This is a image were you have to take more time to observe to see
every little detail that the artist put in the image. The shoe is sending a message to me that
Nike shoes are used all over the world and that the shoes can be more original and unique then other shoes.
I think it does a good job in sending that message.

What is graphic design
Graphic design is a process were a designer creates something unique that will be presented to a targeted audience. The most common uses for graphic designs would be logos, websites, and advertisements. Graphic design is more commonly used to sell a product or idea through visual material. Most likely a person would rather see artwork for a company instead of a paragraph explaining the company. Some examples would be the Starbucks logo and the McDonald's logo. More skilled graphic designers add extra detail to the logo or idea they are presenting. Having prior knowledge with art will help a person be a better graphic designer. Some graphic designers do all the work in creating their image. Others have a specific job to help create the final result of what their making. Graphic designers use computers as a tool then any other tool because of the software that can be used on the computer.
